They took a ruin of a gate and superimposed in different materials the way it would have been originally. A reasonable idea. Small price for entrance, and there is a button to push to hear the description in English (or some other language). However, there is not a great deal of interest here. Nice resting place outside and a statue or two.

Nice little place, but the ancient walls of the Kiev Rus' could have been better presented. It offers some nice views over parts of the city and a pretty neat reconstruction of the church that was once placed on the top.

The place is quite hidden, but once you find it its actually pretty great. There s also one of the cat statues nearby and if you pet it, it is said your wish will be granted. Make sure to read about it before, or come with a tour guide

This is well worth the visit to explore inside and ascend to the top with lovely views outside. There is a multi-lingual audio section that explains about the golden gate and you can see the original structure as well as the newer surroundings that restore the Golden Gate to its former glory. Very interesting to learn about and ideally placed to travel onto or from St Volodymyr's cathedral too. There is a metro station just outside so it is easily connected to transport links.

I recall it wasn't at all expensive to enter so worth a short visit. Externally the gate, whilst not unattractive, bears no relation to what might have been there, its just a new structure to protect what is left of the gates from the elements. Inside you can see the original structures. Only a couple of rooms on the first floor, one a small room with chairs to view the video about the structure and its renovation, not in English so no interest there. Reasonable view from a short walk to the top.
