International service Groupon offers users coupons and discounts from 50 to 90% for various types of goods and services.

The Groupon website started to work in November 2008. The founder of the company is American Andrew Mason. The turnover for the first year of operation was $94 million. Having conquered the North American market, the company entered the world stage. In 2010, the Internet portal was available in Ukraine (in Kyiv, Kharkiv and 20 other cities of the country). Currently, the marketplace offers services to customers in more than 200 cities around the world. The mobile application of the Groupon service allows you to get acquainted with the range of offers anytime and anywhere.

The Ukrainian office of Groupon is closed

American discount service ceased its activities in Ukraine on January 25, 2016. According to the company representatives, the decision was made after careful study and consideration of financial results. The management of the collective discount service doesn’t see an opportunity for profitable activities in Ukraine.

The General Director of Groupon Ukraine stated that the Internet service guarantees the fulfillment of its obligations to Ukrainian users. All promotional coupons were valid until February 25, 2016. For customers who didn’t have time to use the discount before the appointed date, the administration compensated the money spent on a bank card. Recall that before the closure of the office in Ukraine, Groupon stopped providing services to dozens of countries, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Morocco, Taiwan and others.
