Hotel Gutshof Zillertal (Mayrhofen, Austria)

We had a wonderful time at Gutshof. We stayed in a very pleasant room. The breakfast was soooo good and we were looking forward to it every day!! The service was always perfect in the restaurant and also in the reception. We received very good bikes from the hotel and..yes everything was perfect!!!! And off course Mayrhofen was a marvelous place also in summer!!!

Vi utnyttjade ett groupon erbjudande i sex dagar sista veckan i juli. Förutom boende ingick bil från München. Tillgång till MB cyklar och behandlingar i SPA. Utmärkt hotell vi bodde i den äldre delen men är man inte allergisk mot furu så är den väldigt fin. Frukosten var super Middagarna av lite mer varieradkvalitet men i huvudsak bra . Personalen var med nåt undantag också genomgående mycket trevlig. Ska man klaga på nåt kunde man kanske vara lite mer flexibla med det är väl ingen Österrikisk egenskap.

Arriving from Munich airport to Gutshof Zillertal was as entering the fairytales. Not because being empressed the first time. It was not the first time in the area. But, being impressed because the area has not changed during several years. Of course it was more hotels, more tourism, but your kindness, your hospitality, the sourrendings and your staff were at the highest tourismlevel. We loved eating in the garden by good weather, be served excellent dinners by your active staff and getting service from you wonderful frontdesk employees. Our visit in the area such as taking godol up to 2.000mtrs or driving up "Zillertaler Höhenstrasse (2030) - AT - Alpen - Tirol" og visit Schlegeis Alpenstraße und Stausee. Such a Tirol nature and the enormous powerstation and dam. Every day, during a whole week, back to Gutshof Zillertal to be spoiled with a four course dinner :-)). Thank you GUTSHOF, ZILLERTAL, you are our first choice in Tirol selection.

vi bodde sex dagar på Gutshof i juli och var positivt överraskade. Vi fick ett rum i den helt nybyggda delen av hotellet och det var mycket fint inrett. I den äldre delen är rummen mer klassisk alpstuga/fjällstuga, med mycket furu. Hotellets allmänna delar är inuti också i denna furu-stil, men det är rätt så mysigt. Trädgården är fantastiskt fin (hotellets egna bilder på hemsidan gjorde den faktiskt inte rättvisa) med gott om solstolar utspridda och en fin pool. Relaxavdelningen med vanlig bastu och ångbastu var också väldigt fin. Vi hade helpension och maten var verkligen mycket bra, främst klassisk österrikisk husmanskost lagat med omsorg. Frukostbuffén var super. Vi är otroligt nöjda med hotellet. Det enda minuset är kanske personalen, där vissa av dem var mindre trevliga.

The hotel was average also the food.....the breakfast was really good but the dinner was si and so....the poolarea was great...but the experience was really nice with the alps around .We bought the trip at groupon and it was really good price.Tommy

This hotel has the most beautiful view compared to the rest of Mayrhofen because it is located at the very end of the valley. The mountains are stunning especially their snow caps in the middle of the summer... The hotel and its territory are absolutely charming. Tne new hotel wing can boast marble bathrooms and huge beds, the older hotel wing has cosy rustic appeal due to wooden finish. The garden is meticulously designed and maintained. Sunbathing, dining, star gazing, or simply drinking there is a must. Open/glass enclosed pool is exceptional by design and because of the view of the mountains.The staff is not just helpful but friendly. We arrived very late the first day and yet the special dinner was expecting us. Thanks, guys!Among the spa personel we would especially like to mention Julia. She is a great and innovative personal trainer. If you need to get in shape during even short vacation she 's the person to turn to.The view, the place... and now the deal...so we visited on all inclusive deal during the summer, which is a low season over there. Mayrhofen hotels are half dead awating the ski season.. but not Gutshof. It looks like their business model is to lower the margins during summer time to attract the customers. As a result our deal included great food, a rental car, and spa treatments. The price was so great the hotel was full and we met people from all over the world.The drinks are a bit more expensive than those in the vilage but we guess they have to make money somewhere.The only problem we had was their construction which we wish had been announced in their advertizing.Our room was brand new (we were the second guests there) and had very strong toxic paint smell. We asked for another room and were accomodated in a day. We do not lower our rating of the hotel because the construction was winding down and the chances that someone else would encounter this problem are slim.Overall it were great two weeks. The food, the beer, and the views... take a car trips to glacier, to Tirol lakes, to German castles, and enjoy that dream of a life...

Vi hade förmånen att stanna på hotellet under början av juli 2012 Allt fungerade perfekt och över förväntan. Ska man klaga på nått så levde inte middagarna upp till resten och lite för stressad personal på kvällarna men det kunde vi leva med då helhets upplevelsen vart så mycket bättre än vad vi hoppats på.

Das angebot war klasse. 3 Nächte für 2 Personen für 379 euro!! An alle, die dieses hotel einmal auf diesem wege testen möchten, - ich kann es nur empfehlen. Herzlicher empfang, sehr schönes zimmer nach hinten raus. neubau. gepflegte aussenanlage, Gutes frühstück mit allem was das herz begehrt. Prosecco für einen beschwingten tag. mittags ein kleines snackbuffet mit kuchen, suppe und herzhaften dingen. am abend dann 4-gang menü zur auswahl. es war immer etwas dabei. in diesem gutschein weiterhin enthalten ein kl. obstteller, eine eintrittskarte für die swarowski welten ( ca. 40km entfernt!) und ein wellness gutschein. hierzu ist allerdings zu sagen, das diese preise jenseits von gut und böse sind. wir haben uns für eine pediküre mit lack entschieden. 75,-- Euro pro person!!!!!!(In groupon enthalten) dementsprechend war auch unsere erwartungshaltung, die auch tatsächlich nur in unserer Phantasie zu hause war. diese behandlung wäre noch nicht einmal 20 euro wert gewesen. alles sehr einfach gehalten und sehr oberflächlich in der behandlung. nun gut, sie war letztendlich im preis mit drin. Es wird hier teilweise von sehr unfreundlichem personal berichtet, dem kann ich nicht zustimmen!! sie sind sehr bemüht, haben immer ein offenes ohr und sehr freudllich. hier kommt das sprichwort zum tragen: SO WIE MAN IN DEN WALD REINRUFT, SO SCHALLT ES HERAUS. wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Did not know what to expect. Arrived late via train from Munich and staff sorted supper no problem. Great staff all in traditional dress. Just feels special. Fair sized room.

This hotel in surrounded by stunning Tyrol countryside. Beautiful mountains, great or skiing and hiking and not too far from Innsbruck. The hotel itself is very nice, but unfortunately the quality of the service was poor. It took 2 days for the hotel to get our car sorted out, we had to share a car from the airport in Munich with another couple. When we arrived, we had to wait nearly 3 hours for our room to be ready and there was still some building work going on in an extension the hotel were finishing. At times, the hotel staff did not seem to have a clue what was going on and things were pretty chaotic. The room ended up being very nice and the food was good, it was a shame that service at times was so poor

Personally I think it is getting the detail right that makes a hotel truly top notch. Gutshof Zillertal is a lovely hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. When we got to our room after checking in, we were very disappointed to discover that there is a construction site facing the hotel. We had no view what so ever. We requested another room and they moved us to a garden facing room. What a view! Then we did not have hot water, but the staff also attended to it immediately.The heated pool and the complimentary use of bicycles were the highlight of our stay. While the food was decent and generous portions, they could do a bit more with the presentation. Or you can have the A la Carte (not on the Groupon voucher) at the restaurant where you have to pay more.All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to the area.
