«Ancient Kiev» is a historical place that was renewed so that people could plunge into the medieval world and see with their own eyes how our ancestors lived in Kievan Rus. A special energy surrounds this park, which can only be compared with the energy of the sacred places of Ukraine. Thanks to this aura, people who visited «Ancient Kiev» are charged with energy and optimism, they forget about their illnesses and are filled with youth.

And this is not all the mysticism hiding in the Kievan Rus Park. Since ancient times, here lies the sanctuary of one of the Slavic gods - the stone Veles. People came to him to ask for themselves and their loved ones good health, good luck in business. And if you put your hand to the stone Veles and mentally wish similar benefits, then now you will have the opportunity to see the strength of this sacred place.

The creators of this historical and cultural center fully renewed the architectural image of one of the most mysterious medieval cities in Eastern Europe - Ancient Kiev of the V-XIII centuries. The plan of this project was formed on the basis of scientific knowledge under the guidance of leading experts in the field of history, architecture, ethnology and cultural studies of different countries and was approved by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Kievan Rus Park is aimed at conveying to all of humanity the importance and influence of Ancient Kiev, Kievan Rus, Ukraine and all of Eastern Europe on the development of civilization in the past, present and future.

Permanent Exposure

The main attraction of the historical and cultural center «Ancient Kiev» is its architecture. The contour of Kiev of the X century along the perimeter is equipped with defensive structures, the total height of which is 15 m.

Defensive complex:

The pride of Kievan Rus Park is a living museum of horses of historical breeds. Here are collected more than 20 different breeds, including the famous Akhal-Teke horses, Arabian and Boulogne horses, elegant and temperamental horses of the Andalusian breed, friezes, Oryol trotters, knightly brabansons, cowboy quarter-horses and many others.

Every year in the park «Ancient Kiev» various international festivals, tournaments of knightly fights and horse archers, demonstrations of uniforms of ancient Russian soldiers are held, which allows you to plunge into the culture, life and atmosphere of Kievan Rus.

An exposition of historical costumes and armor of Ancient Kiev is located on the territory of the Bolshoi Yaroslavl Yard in a three-story manor. A unique collection in which dresses from different eras and countries are presented.

The Museum of Shipbuilding houses a central exhibit - the boat Prince Vladimir. The world's only accurate reconstruction of the battle rook of Kievan Rus. This ship recreated the legendary Iz Varangians at the Greeks voyage, having visited the Baltic, Black and Azov Seas, passing through the entire river system of the historical trade route.
