The history of the cinema

The “Golden Duke” cinema complex was built during the Soviet Union and opened in December 1993. Over the entire period of its existence, the cinema has undergone many changes, but ultimately has become one of the best in Ukraine. In May 2002, the “Golden Duke” began to be restored, and in September of the same year a three-hall movie theater was opened, which was considered the largest in Ukraine at that time. In 2005, the cinema complex again became the very first, but already five-hall multicomplex in Odessa.

In July 2009, the first 3D room with a three-dimensional digital image and special glasses opens at the Zolotoy Dyuk cinema, and in November the second and third 3D halls. Today, 3D is considered the most spectacular cinema system.

Cinema "Golden Duke" now

Multiplex "Golden Duke" is equipped with six stylish rooms, which allows the cinema to offer the largest selection of films, and the client to choose the most suitable session to watch the film of interest. All rooms are equipped with a modern sound system “Dolby Digital Surround EX”, which provides high-quality seven-channel digital sound. A wide soft armchairs with a large distance between the rows will allow the viewer to feel comfortable while watching a movie.

On the territory of the cinema complex there is a common free parking lot. Inside the complex there is a Cafe-pizzeria where you can have a tasty meal before or after the session.

VIP room in the cinema

In February 2012, in the cinema complex "Golden Duke" was built another room designed for VIP-clients. The room is equipped with an NEC digital projector with Xpant 3D technology. For each client, the cinema staff tries to find an individual approach so that the service is at the highest level.

If you want to spend time in the company of friends in a secluded setting, use the “closed” session service, having learned all the details from the administration of the cinema. You will have the opportunity to choose a filmstrip for viewing, to choose a suitable session time. You can also have a party watching the private video you shot. Cinema technicians can organize viewing of any digital material.

For VIP-guests there is a free parking lot in front of the hall.
