It all started in 1913, when the brothers Mario and Martino Prada founded a small leather goods store on a street in Milan. The store was called Fratelli Prada (“brothers Prada”). At first, they sold bags and travel bags ordered specially from Britain. From the very beginning, the brand positioned itself as a “manufacturer not for everyone”, but only for wealthy customers. The brothers used exclusive soft walrus leather for their bags, and the goods were distinguished by their quality and excellent appearance. After a while, the brand begins to produce clothes, shoes and is expanding rapidly.

The company became truly iconic in the late 70s when the granddaughter of Mario, the famous designer of Miuchia Prada, came to the leadership.

In 1989, the first collection of Myucia ready-to-wear was created. The collection was dominated by clear lines, conciseness and black color.

The brand won special love among the stars of Hollywood, who at different times shone on the carpet paths in dresses from Prada.

Thanks to her husband, Miucia, brand executive director Patricio Bertelli, a collection of sportswear and shoes appears in the Prada assortment.
