The new brand required a new name. It was invented by the founder himself. The word “LEGO” is an abbreviation of the Danish phrase “leg godt”, which means “to play well”. Later it turned out that “LEGO” in Latin means “I fold”. An unusual coincidence determined the subsequent fate of the company of its direction.
