The first issue of the Ukrainian weekly New Time was released in May 2014. The circulation exceeded 18 thousand copies. Since then, the magazine has been regularly published on Fridays. A month later, the brand acquired its own online portal nv.ua. The magazine is Russian-language, and the site content is duplicated in Russian and Ukrainian.

In 2013, the publication was bought by the Ukrainian oligarch Kurchenko, in protest, the team left the Korrespondent and founded its own project, the New Time magazine. He invested in the information resource Tomasz Fiala - Head of Dragon Capital Investment Corporation. In 2015, Novoye Vremya was recognized as the leading media startup of Ukraine, and its editor - the best business editor.
