About company Playwrights' Theater
The Playwrights' Theater in Kyiv is a unique theater project that arose as a reaction to the underestimation of the role of the playwright in Ukrainian society. The theater was created in 2020, when 20 Ukrainian playwrights united to create a theater in which the main value is text. The theater operates as a platform for the presentation of texts, training and exchange of experience among playwrights and enhancing the role of the author in Ukrainian society.
The basic principles of the theater are the priority of the text, the obligatory participation of the playwright as artistic director and increasing the role of the author in Ukrainian society.
