A V Fomin Botanical Garden is a park area that we passed every day on our eight days holiday to Kiev ,its not the prettiest park I've ever visited but it does have its merits. Walking down Tarasa Shevchenko Boulevard towards the metro stop Universytet we dropped into the park before catching a metro and to be honest I quite enjoyed the experience. I would say about half the park is a bit run down and neglected, I think the word botanical garden is stretching it a bit ,its more a green area,we walked around the park a while ,its popular with the locals ,there was a really good expresso cafe in the park were we enjoyed a coffee ,it was good wandering around the park getting some fresh air and planning out the day ahead in this eclectic city before catching our metro.Well worth checking out if your in the area.

Always beautiful at all times, an Integral part of Kiev located on its hills. Recommend to visit in spring, but it’s always peaceful and brings calmness to your thoughts in times you need to concentrate, let it go or just visiting to enjoy nature as a tourist. Has historic building, library and bell dome in Kiev Russian “terem” style. There is also a big scientific center on its territory and a covered orangery that is full of flora and fauna biodiversity.
