Service description
Pharmacy on Podil is the first pharmaceutical establishment in Kyiv. In 1728, the German Johann Geiter opened the first private pharmacy in Kyiv on Podol, not far from Andreevsky Descent, the patent for which he received by decree of Emperor Peter II. The pharmacy existed for about 110 years, until 1835, after which the house was sold and changed hands. In 1983, restoration and creation of a pharmacy-museum began in this building, which opened in 1986.
The museum's collection includes more than 50,000 exhibits - pharmacy furniture from the 18th - 19th centuries, samples of pharmaceutical glassware from different eras, fragments of manuscripts from the times of Kievan Rus, Russian and Polish pharmacopoeia of the 19th - 20th centuries, textbooks on medicine and therapy of those times, prescription journals, personal archives materials of Kiev pharmacists. In the dungeon there is an exhibition telling about the history of medicine and pharmacy:

- Alchemist's laboratory.
