Help the Ronald McDonald House Foundation build Family Rooms in Ukrainian hospitals

The Ronald McDonald House Foundation in Ukraine is a charitable international non-profit organization that has existed in the world for 45 years. The Foundation has the only goal - to help relatives be close to their children in the hospital. We were all children and we remember that the worst thing for a child in the hospital is to be left alone, without a mother. And even studies prove that for a child in the hospital, having his mother nearby is no less important than medicine. And the Foundation opens Family Rooms in Hospitals - this is a room with all the amenities in which parents can relax, eat and spend the night. And all this is free. This is most important for those who come from remote villages and towns and do not have the opportunity to rent housing. We calculated that rent in Kyiv is 500-1000 UAH per day - imagine how much money parents save thanks to our rooms - and it often happens that a child is in the hospital for several weeks. And after a few weeks, my parents are living in our rooms.

The foundation has existed in Ukraine for 4 years and has currently opened rooms in five hospitals: in the Lviv Okhmatdyt and Vinnitsa Regional Children's Hospital, in the Kiev Okhmatdyt, in the Kharkov Regional Children's Hospital and Sumy Children's Hospital. We are raising funds to build a sixth family room.
