• The main temple of Kanev is the Assumption Cathedral (1144), it repeats the structure of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in structure and for its style represents the Kiev architectural school of the first half of the XII century. The Assumption Cathedral in Kanev is also famous for the fact that it was here that Taras Shevchenko was buried, and right here the funeral procession went to Chernecha Gora.
• Another interesting attraction that you will visit is a life-size model of an armored train (1980); an open-air exhibition of military equipment will interest fans of the military theme. Actually, this is a model that reminds why there is no railway communication with Kanev to this day (the bridge was blown up by the Germans back in 1943 and until that day the railway communication has not been restored). Despite the fact that there are no railways in Kanev, as it were, the armored train came here and stood here for eternal parking.
