course program

theoretical part (start - march 1):

• lesson 1. to learn is to disassemble.

in the first lesson, children will learn how photography appeared, how a camera works (body, lens, shutter, matrix, memory card), what lenses, light filters, hoods, tripods are for, learn how to hold and take care of the camera correctly. in practice, we will change lenses, use light filters, put the camera on a tripod, and take test shots of each other.

• lesson 2. just about the complex.

children learn that exposure is not only a character trait, and the diaphragm is not only a respiratory organ, and that light also has a temperature. children will learn to understand their camera, learn the names and functions of the buttons, what is the difference between automatic and creative modes, get acquainted with the concepts of "shutter speed", "aperture", "iso", "white balance", "depth of field", "exposure". in practice, we will learn how to set up cameras and select the correct shooting parameters, we will experiment with long-short exposure, wide-narrow aperture.

• lesson 3. rules of composition in photography

the child will comprehend the basic principles of frame composition (subject and background, rhythm and structure, contrast, sharpness, silhouette, foreshortening, space, framing, reflections and shadows, movement and balance, symmetry and asymmetry, the rule of thirds). children will learn how to position objects in the frame, choose the right shooting point, create interesting shots, highlight accents, and also see common mistakes (how not to photograph).

• lesson 4. genres of photography

in this lesson, children will see photos of various genres and trends, learn how to photograph people, landscapes, architecture, animals, still lifes, silhouettes, objects in black and white, in motion, against the sun, at night, with a flash and with wiring. the child will learn to choose the time and place of shooting, prepare for the shooting process, understand the meaning and objectives of the photography process.

• lesson 5. studio photography

after this lesson, your child will be able to give you a photo session in a photo studio. children will get acquainted with studio equipment (softboxes, umbrellas, attachments, reflectors), learn how to assemble softboxes, work with pulse flashes, install lighting schemes, synchronize studio lights with a camera. we will also learn about photo posing and practical techniques for working with the model.

• lesson 6. photo drying, portfolio presentation

each child, during the course, realizes himself in his own photo project. this can be a photo session of younger brothers and sisters, a portrait of a mother, friends, a photo of pets, a report from a birthday or a school holiday. at the last lesson, children will present their photo projects, create an instagram portfolio, learn how to store and arrange their work, and receive advice. the course will be summarized by a photo exhibition of the best works of graduates.

practical part (start - march 8):

• lesson 1. the city in which i live.

excursion in the center of odessa, photography of sights (how to photograph architecture, reportage shooting).

• lesson 2. beauty is around us.

meeting near the nemo dolphinarium, lanzheron and shevchenko park (features of landscape and nature photography).

• lesson 3. take pictures while playing.

visit to the planeta amusement park (group photo session, photography in motion).

• lesson 4. our little friends.

visit to the zoo (shooting animals).

• lesson 5. let there be light.

shooting in a photo studio (studio photo session using professional equipment).

• lesson 6. photo drying, portfolio presentation.
