It was really nice and interesting. Come during the day on a sunny day, take a scooter or a bike and enjoy ur day. I suggest 4 hours here. Bring your own snacks as I couldn’t eat anything there.

В период карантина , парки закрыли как Пирогова так и Феофанию ((( , но можно погулять в лесу рядом возле специально отведённых местах для пикника . Всем здоровья, счастья, любви!!!

What a great outdoor space. This is a very large park with buildings and displays of various areas of Ukraine. Totally worth a visit. One caution, public transportation is not very reliable to get to the park entrance.

Pirogovo Open-Air Museum is like from the old soviet movie! Ii’s easy to imagine here: I am living in such an Ukrainian village, have my wife in the house to take care of cattle and birds.. I am the hunter and have my rifle ready to shoot something for dinner, rabbit or wild pig… It feels so secure and cozy here! I have already known how to shoot from rifle so I’m ready for a country life! The Kyiv military tours taught me how to do that, and that military tour was great!

Fantastic photos I made here in Pirogovo Open-Air Museum. If you want to walk around you’d better check the weather forecast to find as much sunny and warm day as possible. It’s an open air museum, so it could be cold here. Another place with good photo shooting location and also having fun is shooting range where you can get from Kyiv military tours. I took great photos there to with tanks and different kinds of Soviet weapons together with my girlfriend. Almost good as here in Pirogovo museum.

This is a little village out in the country frozen in time. Everything is interesting there. Go on a sunny day. You need to drive there, so arrange a comfortable car/taxi to take you there & bring you back before you go. Tasty traditional food is for sale in cool old style vendors & just seeing the food on display is worth the visit.It's a huge place, so be careful you don't walk too far from the entrance! Rent bikes or whatever to see the whole place. At the entrance there are English speaking guides, which are not expensive. I spent about 4 hours there. Good fresh air, sunshine, excellent food & beer, the smell of grilled meat... fantastic. The old style houses are cool too. You can go in & look around. It's not some boring museum like in Europe where you just look at it from a distance. You can walk right in rooms & check it out properly. Excellent site!

I love homemade produce Ukrainians offer in the museums or on the streets. It’s really healthy and special. I bought some honey in Pirogovo Open-Air Museum and it was the best honey in my life. Another great homemade thing I tried here in Ukraine was homemade vodka! It took place in interesting military tour from Stay in Kiev travel agency, they offered me a shooting range with Makarov, Stechkin and Kalashnikov. They offered also a military food afterwards and I didn’t expect so much interesting things to try.

It looks so peaceful… This little Ukrainian village… I imagined if the Second World War was here again and I was crying… It was so different here. Yesterday I drove the tank by myself during the military tour from Stay in Kiev travel agency and it was really fun!! But today it didn’t feel like fun if the tanks were here to destroy everything… I’m so glad we are peacefully living in the world!

Beautiful museum! It was really nice to stop by here! That was an advice from my shooting instructor on the military tour I took yesterday from Kyiv military tour travel agency, because I noticed they have many dense forests and I really loved it! He told me to visit this open-air museum because he supposed I would like it too. I really did!!! It’s like a real village in the middle of the forest! Nice place!!! I do recommend it!

Как будто попадаешь в прошлое , очень атмосферное место . Можно гулять целый день. Отличная еда и медовуха в местных шинках)))
