I spent an afternoon wandering round this area of the city and it was good to have this road as a start point. With the exception of the independence monument, there are a lot of very expensive shops and restaurants. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and there was a nice atmosphere with live music every so often. It's somewhere you walk through not stay to visit.

Central and the main street in Kiev. Always busy, always something happening, always crowded. All central sports events, protests, demonstrations, revolutions) happened exactly on that street. Lots of entertainment such as dancing, small music concerts, different PhotoBooth and games happening on the pedestrian part in the evening. Buildings are old, solid and Mostly historical heritage. Evening giving you a nice bright colors and some other experience. I heard, that it is widest central street among the European capitals, but not sure, need to Google it.

While planning our trip to Kyiv, received many recommendations on areas to stay in. Glad we picked this street. It is right in the middle of everything. We have easily been able to walk to all the other recommended neighborhoods as well as all the attractions. We love walking cities so strolling a few miles to see something is part of our vacation.
