Today my wife decided to order dinner from Podil, I heartily agreed as we have been several times and enjoyed it. The food was delivered and the most impressive part were the massive packing containers. We expected price increase considering the situation in Kyiv but minuscule portions as well. My buttered chicken was tiny and even if rice had been included in the price it would still be extortion. The traditional samosa where up to their usual high standard and my wife’s roll was great in a fresh Paratha type bread. My paratha on the other hand was disappointing as several had obviously been hanging around for some time to go hard, not soft as expected. So very disappointed with lack of consistency and price increases Do not think that I will be back as Kyiv has a wealth of good cafe/restaurants to choose from.

I was not going to visit this restaurant after reading the reviews below, but I did and I am very happy that I did. I love this place, it is my new favourite place in Podil. I love their concept of a small but great selection, the Indian food is authentic to me and taste great (I have been in India 3 times and eating Indian food in Indian restaurants in Africa, Europe and Middle East!). It is such a small cozy place and the service is great. They explain everything and are very patient and polite. The food was so fresh and great but of course there is a a lot of vegetarian options and not for some one who only likes Ukraine kitchen (Ukrainian Kitchen is the same as all over Central Europe: soup, lots of potatoes and meet with no species at all). These is a place for people who like to try new concepts and different kind of Indian food (there are many different Indian Kitchens and not only Chicken Tikka and rice!). I was also told that the chef is not Indian but an Ukrainian girl who worked in India to learn to cook Indian food! This you can notice o on the great quality and taste of the food. I was also alone and noticed this is a great place for a snack or small meal when you are a lonely tourist strolling around in Kyiv.
