As someone with a little bit of knowledge about WWII’s eastern front, this was a fascinating site to visit. While the Nazis destroyed much of what existed during their retreat, the on-site interpretive materials tell the story of this place pretty well (in both Ukrainian and English).The site also told the very important story of Vinnytsia oblast’s Jews at this time, whose Holocaust experience was different in many ways from Jews living in more western parts of Europe.Many other local points of history are presented along the walking route at Werewolf as well, which puts the war in local context. One point of curiosity was the fact that somehow the swimming pool survived and seems to be in good shape. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone able to reach it - it’s a short car ride from Vinnytsia’s city center. This would be especially valuable for kids learning about WWII and the Holocaust.

Сумне місце. Затишне, красива природа але немає нічого особливого щоб захоплювало дух. Руїни бункерів да і все. Цікаво почитати стенди, можливо з екскурсоводом який би розповідав що де було і історію цього місця було б цікавіше. Вразив басейн (пожарний резервуар), за стільки років і так зберігся.
