The kiev metro is great its 8UAH to travel anywhere one way which is about 25p - for this reason we decided to go to Arsenalna Metro as its the deepest metro in the world - to be honest its nothing special -theres not even a sign up to tell you its a record holder but it was only 3 stops from where we were staying so we thought why not?u go down two massive very old escalators which Im sure travel a bit faster than the ones in the UK takes about 4 mins per escalator then thats it youve done it - tick it off your bucket list!

I walked into Vydubychi Monastery from the neighboring botanical garden which made for a great sightseeing pairing. The monastery sits against a forested hill/ravine which makes for cool photo backdrops you might not expect this close the center of Kyiv. There are multiple buildings you can enter to see icons, murals, and other religious artwork. There is also a church store where you can purchase a range of orthodox religious items. The grounds also have gardens which, on my visit, provided the scene for an epic battle between two tomcats that begged for a David Attenborough narration. I would recommend Vydubychi Monastery to anyone visiting Kyiv. Those able to walk about 30min can access it from the metro, those who don’t like to walk should use Uber/Uklon/taxi.

St. Michael's Vydubychi Men's Monastery is beautiful. Rose gardens on the premises. The 11th century St. Michael's Cathedral and Monument to Vladimir Vetsu are located there as well. There isn't many tourists. It's a beautiful monastery!

Tranquillo monastero immerso nel verde, a cui si può accedere gratuitamente dal parco botanico Griško. All'interno di una chiesa vendono deliziosi biscotti. Una sosta necessaria in un luogo bellissimo.
