It’s a main street in Kiev and you can find literally everything here! Entertaining options are various, food places and even more! There is a store with military clothes; it’s kind of pricey… I tried a different clothes on military tour I took in Kiev from Stay in Kiev travel agency, where I drove the tank and shot from Kalashnikov. It was for free! It was enough for me to try it on, I don’t want to buy it!
Great reference point for when you’re out and about as it’s the main street right in the city centre, so handy for navigating. Independence Square is on this street as well as big shop chains (Nike, Zara etc), and leads onto more shopping streets. Strongly recommend visiting Gulliver shopping centre, which is 10 mins from this street. Lots of underpasses along this big main road- handy for crossing but can be a bit disorientating in the larger ones, which also host shops and small malls.
The main street in Kiev looks fantastic! I didn’t expect that! You can find everything here! Food places, souvenirs and more… The one thing you cannot do here is military shooting, but you can try shooting tour from Stayinkiev though. Soviet military souvenirs are here too, there are a lot of clothes or caps.
We visited Khreshchatyk twice during our stay in Kyiv and were impressed both times. The area is so clean and tidy, with wide avenues and spectacular buildings. Independence Square has a very imposing monument, and to our supprise a shopping precinct underneath - this stretched under the road and over to the other side with over 200 shops. We loved all the coffee shops situated in individual booths along the avenue where you could buy any type of coffee, hot chocolate and in some cases gluwein. The only downside was about 4 or 5 men with capuchin monkeys dressed in outfits just for trapping tourists into being photographed with them. Not good.
